My Students:
Our students are entry level welding students. They come from several feeder schools to our program. We ask them to provide several pieces of personal equipment. The cost of this equipment sometimes stretches the capabilities of these families.
My Project:
The program has provided welding pliers for the students in an attempt to reduce cost for our program. This is rather costly. We need twenty pairs to use for each class. We have been buying cut rate pliers in an attempt to avoid using budget monies. The current pliers cost approx. $10.00 and quickly become worn. The pliers that we are requesting cost approx. $30.00.
My Students Need:
We would like to provide the students with a better grade of welding pliers. This would reduce frustration and enable our students to use better equipment.
