My Students:
My Bentwood Elementary first graders are a group of very diverse learners! However, they all bond together through the science and engineering activities we do in the classroom. These boys and girls need more opportunities to interact with the STEM fields in order to be better prepared for THEIR futures. They can’t seem to get enough science!
My Project:
My students are avid scientists/engineers in our classroom. I would like to fuel this love of the STEM (science, technology, engineering & math) fields by creating rotating, hands-on take-home bags that contain all the materials for my students to explore these STEM concepts further with their families. Involving families in their STEM learning will surely deepen their understanding of scientific concepts and encourage meaningful family experiences. Let’s make science fun and engaging!
