My Students:
I teach PreK-5th grade music in a Title 1 school that has an English Language Learner program. Currently, 78% of students are on free & reduced lunch and 50% speak English as a second language. My students need headphones in the music room. My students are wanting to get creative on our iPads, but currently can't hear their work over others.
My Project:
Since adopting the 2:1 iPad ratio, I have worked to incorporate technology into the music classroom as much as possible. One road block we have hit has been hearing. Many times I will have 6-8 iPads playing different material at the same time. This causes frustration in many students and highlights the need for headphones and splitters within the music classroom so we can continue to create beautiful music!

My students need 30 pairs of headphones and 15 headphone splitters.
