My Students:
My students have very supportive and busy families. After school activities and sports take up a lot of time. Reading as a family seems to be hard to fit in. My goal is instill that love of reading at school so that kiddos will go home each night desperately wanting to finish the book they are reading in class.
My Project:
I have a passion for reading and I want to instill that same passion in my students. After attending a reading conference this summer we were told that our classroom libraries need at least 1,500- 2,000 books. Giving kids options to explore different genres and reading levels will ensure that all students become fluent readers.
My Students Need:
My students need more books to fill our classroom library. I plan to add quality literature to I instill that love of reading.
