My Students:
Our Science Olympiad students are ready to brush up their skills in specific science fields! Science Olympiad is an after school team where students can become experts in science events. The students work hard to accomplish goals at competitions. Science Olympiad gives students a way to explore new STEM curriculum while being a part of a team.
My Project:
Some of the Science Olympiad events require students to learn and become experts in fields such as Rocks and Minerals, Fossils, Insects and Spiders, and Amphibians and Reptiles. Students are encouraged to use National Audubon Society Field Guides to excel their research and understand species identification. The books include glossy images, concise descriptions, and a species index. It isn’t often that a student wants to know everything possible about fossils, so let’s make it possible!
