My Students:
teach kindergarten at a very high poverty, ELL, and Title 1 School. This provides challenges but it also brings the most grateful, sweet, and joyful kids. It its scientifically proven that students in poverty need to move more in the classroom. Flexible seating will give students a choice of where they sit in our room and keep them engaged.
My Project:
The goal for this project is to give my students flexible seating, or different choices of places to learn in our room. I would like to purchase a floor table, wobble seats, a couple standing desks, a desk cycle, stability balls, and a class set of clipboards. If the grant is fulfilled, this is possible. Flexible seating will strengthen our classroom environment, get students their needed movement, and give students a sense of belonging in our classroom.
My Students Need:
My students need different seating options that give them the flexibility and choice of where to sit in our classroom. This will keep them engaged and provide needed movement.
