Support Olathe teachers, classrooms, and students through DonorsChoose, a national non-profit dedicated to helping teachers share their projects online with donors locally and throughout the United States.
The OPSF will match community giving, up to $1,000 per Olathe Public Schools educator, per school year, for projects that impact Olathe classrooms. For the 2024-25 school year, up to $75,000 has been allocated to encourage community support of qualifying projects. Helping is so easy. If everyone gives a little, together we will make big things happen for our Olathe students.
Educators
Olathe educators are eligible for up to $1,000 in matching funds per educator per school year while funds last. In most cases your materials will be shipped within a few days of receiving full funding for your project. To be eligible for the OPSF match offer, make sure your project meets these criteria.
Qualifying Projects
- Total Project Goal: $1,000 or less (This is different than the Total Project Cost.)
- Project author must be a certified educator teaching at a school within the USD 233 school district
- Project must have building administrator approval
- Projects must follow DonorsChoose guidelines

Items Not Eligible for OPSF Match
Projects containing any of these items will not be eligible for OPSF match funding.
- Instructional Technology (Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards, music players, CDs, headphones, printers, printer ink, scanners, document cameras, projectors, cameras, calculators, robotics, and software)
- Computers and Tablets (laptops, tablets, monitors, computer and table accessories)
- Project cannot include professional development dollars
