My Students:
Orchestra students from Olathe North encompass several different demographic, cultural, and economic backgrounds. Many students at Olathe North work outside of school to help with family finances. While we try to include all students on performance trips and activities,many cannot participate due to finances.
My Project:
We are planning a performance trip to San Diego, California for Spring Break 2019. This trip will include performing a 2 different venues, and participating in a master class/clinic at a university. Students will also be able to visit landmarks of San Diego and further up the coast. Through performances of this kind, students bond with one another, experience other cities and cultures, and also benefit from preparing and performing a wide variance of literature for different audiences.
My Students Need:
Airfare has increased, so we need to provide $300.00 per student to help offset the cost of the transportation.
