My Students:
Do you remember what it was like when you had to share an instrument in music class? Well, my students have to share each time they come to music because there are not enough instruments for each child to share. My students are Kindergarten through 5th graders who come to music twice a week for 30 minutes.
My Project:
Currently I only have 7 Orff instruments. Even I have two on an instrument that is only servicing 14 students. I have multiple lessons that incorporate these instruments. I have to adjust my lessons plans and hand out non-percussion instruments to the students so everyone has something to play while they are waiting.. It is important for me to maximize their participation and engagement in the short time I have with them, and in order to do that I need to have them be two to an instrument.

My students are always asking to play instruments and get very excited when we get to play!
