My Students:
My 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders love art but need to be challenged. I want to integrate science and technology into their art projects so that they can see that the traditional ways of doing art can be integrated with technology. I want to bring their artwork into modern times and help them come up with ideas that fit with our times.
My Project:
I want my students to see that science and art are not separate disciplines, but go hand-in-hand together. Third, fourth and fifth grade students will learn the basics of constructing an electrical circuit. Third graders will make an insect that lights up using LEDs. Fourth grade students will make a holiday card that lights up using copper tape to create the circuit and LED lights. Fifth grade students will make a stuffed animal using conductive thread with LED lights.
My Students Need:
