My Students:
This project will be open to all students interested in learning how to code robots. An emphasis will be placed on enrolling female and SPED students. These two subgroups have low numbers entering the technology, science and math fields. The students will find that they can be successful and learning these skills will open up more career options.
My Project:
The students will meet after school once per week. They will start learning how to write code using the free swift playground app. They will then use their new skills to code robots to perform assigned tasks. The students will work individually and in cooperative teams to write code to make their robots talk, move and light up according to assigned tasks. Each student will move at their own pace throughout the process.
My Students Need:
I want the students to have the opportunity to see learn skills, in a creative manner, that are needed to be successful in jobs in the fields of technology, science and math.
