Over $160,000 Raised! OPSF 28th Annual Golf Classic Raises Needed Funds for Olathe Students, Teachers & Staff

The 28th Annual Olathe Public Schools Foundation (OPSF) Golf Classic, presented by The University of Kansas Health System and DS Bus, made history this year, raising an incredible $160,000 to support Olathe students and teachers. The total is the highest ever for this long-running event and a milestone moment for public education in our community.

"We are so grateful for the generosity of our sponsors, players, volunteers, and the entire Olathe community. It's about so much more than golf,” according to Molly Groebe, OPSF Fund Development Manager, “$160,000 raised will make a difference in the lives of thousands of students."

Corporate Sponsorships from CCS Presentation Systems/EPSON, Garmin, Major Saver, Piper Sandler & Co., Synetic, and Virco helped ensure the success of our tournament. Golf Carts were sponsored by Robert Brogden Olathe KIA, and Robert Brogden Olathe Buick/GMC, Hospitality Carts were sponsored by Lockton and TempCon, LLC, and the Beverage Cart sponsors were Nabholz and Howard Technologies/UZBL. We cannot forget our Hospitality spots, providing those special refreshments and treats. Logicalis sponsored our Margarita Stop, while the Brat Stop was brat by Validity Screening. Newkirk Novak and Synetic served up drinks in the morning, BSN was pouring mules all day and Truity had their Truit-Tee Stop with a refreshing break for everyone.

  • Tournament record of over $160,000 raised.
  • Sold out morning and afternoon flights.

Why $160,000 Matters

Every dollar raised at the Golf Classic goes directly into OPSF programs, including:

  • Student Need Funds provides vital resources for students in difficult situations
  • School Supplies & Backpacks provide 2,500 backpacks throughout the district so every student can start the school year feeling successful and prepared.
  • Innovative & Needs-Based Classroom Grants that bring new ideas and opportunities into our schools and classrooms.
  • Educator Excellence & Classified Employee Excellence Recognition Awards recognize outstanding teachers and staff.
  • Mental Health provides services and space for students experiencing mental health issues, raising awareness, and breaking the stigma.

From the first tee to the final putt, this year’s Golf Classic was a true celebration of what our Olathe community can accomplish together.
